The UNLV School of Integrated Health Sciences is accepting applications for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences in the field of radiation oncology physics. Strong candidates with a background in diagnostic medical imaging will also be considered. The department has three CAMPEP-accredited radiation oncology physics programs offering certificate, masters and doctor of medical physics (DMP) degrees. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track or tenured position. Primary responsibilities include establishing an active research program supported with extramural funding, supervision of graduate students and teaching in the Department’s Health Physics programs. Teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels will be required, as well as service and research duties in accordance with University criteria. A doctorate in medical physics, engineering, physics or a related field is required from a regionally accredited college or university. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment. ABR certification is highly desirable.


Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
