A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. Our lab focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that control heart and endoderm development using zebrafish as an animal model. Projects will utilize multidisciplinary approaches, including genetics, in vivo imaging, molecular, and cell biology. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, independent, and have excellent communication skills. Candidates must hold a recent doctorate in Cell/Developmental Biology and/or Genetics. Previous experience with the zebrafish model and imaging experience is preferable, but not a requirement.
