Tenure/Tenure Track Faculty Position in Biochemistry

The Department of Biological Sciences at Wayne State University invites applications for a tenure-track opening for a researcher studying Biochemistry with a focus on metabolomics.  Rank will be dependent upon qualifications. Preference will be given to candidates doing innovative research in areas complementing existing departmental strengths in systems biology, development, the biochemistry of disease, evolution, host/pathogen interactions or chromatin and gene expression. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree, postdoctoral experience and an outstanding record of research achievement. Successful applicants are expected to establish and maintain a vigorous, externally funded research program, participate in graduate and undergraduate education and perform service at the departmental, college and university level.  We offer state-of-the-art research facilities and highly competitive start-up packages.
