TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION – Biochemistry

THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, BALTIMORE COUNTY (UMBC) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.  Applicants are expected to establish a vigorous and externally funded research program in any sub-discipline of biochemistry (e.g., bioorganic, bioinorganic, bioanalytical, biophysical chemistry and chemical biology). Candidates must have an outstanding record of scientific achievement, demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals. Applicants should have a PhD and postdoctoral experience in any of the sub-disciplines listed above. The selected candidate will be expected to teach primarily biochemistry courses at both the undergraduate and graduate (PhD and MS) levels. Importantly, the applicant should demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence in their teaching and research programs.
