Post-Doc Position in Neural Engineering
A Post-Doc position is available in the neural engineering group of Dr. Nuri Ince (http://incelab.bme.uh.edu/). The successful candidate will work in an NIH funded translational project with an interdisciplinary team composed of biomedical engineers, neurologists and neurosurgeons at Texas Medical Center. A keen interest in neural engineering is essential. The focus of research is to investigate iEEG/ECoG data of patients with epilepsy using novel signal processing and machine learning methods. The Post-Doc candidate will participate in algorithm development, multidimensional signal analysis and writing scientific articles/proposals. The appointment also includes co-mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
Eligible candidates must have gained a PhD degree in a discipline relevant to the research themes, e.g. biomedical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, neuroscience. Solid publication record and programming experience with Matlab is required. Previous experience in biosignal processing and machine learning is a plus. Interactions with other lab members and collaborators will be fundamental. The candidate will receive a competitive salary for up to 5 years.
