Senior Research Specialist

Job summary

This position is a principle contributor in developing specific research project requirements and is responsible for all aspects of the project from development through delivery. This position requires understanding PI’s research proposal and keep necessary research protocols in compliance with the regulations. This position requires thorough understanding in lung cancer in vivo and in vitro research techniques. Perform complex laboratory and data collection techniques. May coordinate and direct the work and research tasks of graduate students and postdoctoral fellow.

Job responsibility (in addition to the existing list)

Research

  • Be able to comprehend and edit PI’s grant proposal.
  • Be able to write and maintain IBC and IACUC protocols
  • Manage the day to day laboratory operations and orders in compliance with all the rules and regulations.

Communications (in addition to the existing list)

Enforce the recording of research results in electric research notebook including labarchives.

 

Job Knowledge & Skills, Education, Experience

  • Master’s degree in science with 5 years of related research experience
  • Proof of scientific excellence is required (1st author publication in reputable journals)
  • Experience in research team management
  • Possess and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
  • Proficient in laboratory techniques including molecular biology, cell biology, mouse xenograft, flow cytometry, and fluorescent microscopy.
