The University of Chicago: Biological Sciences Division: Department of Pathology
The University of Chicago's Department of Pathology in the Biological Sciences Division is searching for faculty pursuing research on experimental pathology who will develop an extramurally-funded basic or translational research laboratory focused on any topic in biomedical science related to human disease, including but not limited to cancer, genetics, inflammation, immunology, microbiology, microbiome, developmental biology, and neurobiology. Rank and tenure status will be dependent on qualifications. Additional responsibilities will be teaching students (undergraduate, graduate, medical) and/or housestaff and fellows, and clinical service commensurate with the individual’s qualifications and interests.
By the time of appointment applicants must 1) have a doctoral degree or equivalent, 2) be Board Certified or Board eligible in Anatomic or Clinical Pathology, and 3) have or be eligible for a medical license in Illinois.
