Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology (CMP) Tenure -Track Faculty

The Department of Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology (CMP) at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for a tenure-track position. Candidates for Assistant Professor are encouraged to apply, but we will also welcome applications from exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level. We are seeking innovative researchers who use modern techniques and approaches to interrogate fundamental mechanistic questions at the molecular, cellular, tissue and organismal levels. We encourage applications from researchers who use both computational and experimental techniques to tackle fundamental questions in biology. We are also seeking researchers who are creatively applying these mechanisms to develop novel advances in biomedical science. One area of specific interest is in cellular engineering – applying engineering approaches to understand cellular function and developing new ways to engineer and harness cells as therapies and tools. Successful candidates are expected to have completed an advanced degree (PhD or equivalent).

CMP is home to world-renowned laboratories working in the fields of molecular biology, cell biology, neurobiology, chemical biology, systems and synthetic biology, and molecular/cellular engineering. (http://cmp.ucsf.edu/). The UCSF Mission Bay campus offers a vibrant atmosphere for collaboration among basic science and clinical departments, as well as state of the art research facilities. Successful applicants will be expected to establish an exciting, leading-edge research program and participate in graduate and postdoctoral training.

UC San Francisco seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.

The University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sec, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age or protected veteran status.
