Postdoctoral Position in Bioinformatics

A postdoctoral position is available immediately at USDA-ARS Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, conveniently located in the Washington DC metropolitan area. A motivated recent Ph.D. with strong skills in bioinformatics is needed to study host, microbiome and parasite interactions in animal models using a multiple omics approach. Experience with Linux operating system and strong skills in R programming and scripting are required. Knowledge or experience in one of the following areas, anaerobic culture, flow cytometry, and microbiome study and metagenomics, is a plus. The postdoctoral scientist is encouraged to develop independent projects according to his or her own scientific interest. The position is open to US citizens or permanent residents only.
