Research Assistant/Associate-Cancer Biology-Irie Lab, Tisch Cancer Institute of Mt Sinai
The Research Assistant/Associate will be engaged in translational breast cancer research program projects focused on identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets for metastatic and drug resistant, high risk breast cancers. The project aims to validate the functions of novel oncogenes/tumor suppressors and their relevance in the context of patient breast cancers. The RA will be responsible for carrying out experiments requiring a range of techniques and approaches (molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, in vivo mouse modeling, patient tumor tissue handing and processing, patient-derived xenograft models). The RA will work closely with the PI and post-doctoral fellows in the lab. The RA will also be responsible for sharing lab maintenance duties. BA/BS with 2-3 years experience in research environment required. MA/MS highly preferable. Animal handling experience required.
