A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nita Ahuja at the Department of Surgery, Yale School of Medicine. The research in the Ahuja laboratory is focused on understanding the epigenetic dysregulation in various cancers during disease progression using patient samples, patient derived organoids, PDX mouse and various cell line models, as well as translating the findings to develop novel detection biomarkers and identify novel treatment targets.
We are looking for motivated individuals interested in studying the molecular, cellular, and epigenetic dysregulation of gastrointestinal cancers and other disorders. Applicants should have a PhD or MD/PhD in biological sciences, molecular/cell biology, genetics or related fields. The candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven track record of productivity. Experience in RNA biology, epigenetic techniques, CRISPR and other gene editing techniques, immunopriming using epigenetic drugs, and analyzing genomic data sets will be an advantage. Candidates with a PhD in epigenetics would be given preference; however, candidates with 1 to 2 years of post-doctoral experience with a strong focus in epigenetics would also be considered. The candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as ability to work collaboratively.
