Assistant Professor of Neuroscience (Tenure-Track)

The Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University invites applications for a tenure-track Neuroscience Assistant Professor. The position is open to all areas of Neuroscience, including molecular, cellular, circuit, systems and behavioral level approaches to address fundamental questions in neuroscience.  Researchers utilizing non-mammalian or non-traditional model systems and those who would appreciate joining diverse and interactive faculty are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • 50% Develop and maintain an independent and vigorous and extramurally funded research program in the area of neuroscience.
  • 50% Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in a biological sciences discipline, including a course in neuroscience and direct/supervise graduate students.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field.

Specific Experience: Successful track record of productive research, publication, and postdoctoral experience.
