Postdoctoral position available immediately on NIH-funded projects for qualified individuals with PhD/MD degree to study the pathogenesis / pathogen biology, antibiotic resistance of Clostridium difficile and host immune/inflammatory responses to C. difficile infection (CDI). One position primarily for pathogenesis, biology and antibiotic resistance of C. difficile as well as host-pathogen interactions; Second position primarily for host immune / inflammatory responses to CDI and host-pathogen interactions.

The work requires background in molecular microbiology / immunology / cell biology / microbiome / animal models / to study pathogen biology, host-pathogen interactions and immune responses to CDI in animal models.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution and appropriate experience and training within a selected area of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Research experience in molecular microbiology, flow cytometry analysis, comparative microbial genome/RNA sequence analysis, microbiome, animal models and signal transduction is preferred but not required.
