Postdoctoral position in epidemiology, operations research, modeling of substance use, harm reduction and infectious disease at Yale University

 

Postdoctoral position in quantitative epidemiology focusing on the intersection of substance use, harm reduction and infectious diseases are available in Gregg Gonsalves’ group in the Department of the Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases at the Yale School of Public Health: https://publichealth.yale.edu/people/gregg_gonsalves.profile.

Position details:

Successful candidates will work with Professor Gonsalves on projects related substance use, particularly opioids, their direct impacts on health (e.g. overdose) and infectious complications (e.g. HIV, hepatitis C, infective endocarditis). In particular, the work will focus on spatiotemporal mapping of risk; targeting of harm reduction interventions for opioid use disorder, as well as interventions for infectious disease prevention and treatment; the evaluation of the causal effects of these interventions on various health outcomes and assessment of their cost-effectiveness alone and in combination.

Qualifications and skills:

PhD in public health, epidemiology, operations research, economics or statistics or related quantitative discipline with strong interest and experience in program evaluation for public health, harm reduction or infectious diseasesStrong programming skills.
