Assistant/Associate Professor of Biochemistry

The Department of Biochemistry/Microbiology of Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.  Position is for a full time, 12-month appointment in the division of Biomedical Sciences.  Candidates must have a doctoral degree and should have knowledge of the fundamental concepts of biochemistry, and expertise in nucleic acids, molecular biology of eukaryotes, and molecular neuroscience (preferred).  Research facilities, start-up funds, competitive salary and environment for professional development will be provided.  Selected individual must have a commitment to establishing a successful research program.  Knowledge of molecular biology is required.  The selected candidate will be expected to participate in team teaching medical biochemistry to medical and graduate students, teach in graduate courses as needed, and to participate in training of graduate students. The candidate must be a team player. Opportunities exist for collaborating with local and state research institutes.
