Faculty Position in Biomedical Engineering, Cornell University

 

The Nancy E. and Peter C. Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering at Cornell University invites applications to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates are sought who work in any area of biomedical engineering that complements or builds on existing research strengths in the School. Candidates with expertise in drug delivery, biomaterials/tissue engineering, or systems/synthetic biology with application to neurobiology, cancer or immunology are particularly encouraged. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in engineering or a closely related field, with a demonstrated potential for success as an independent investigator and educator. Exceptional candidates at all ranks will be considered. 

 

The Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering is in the College of Engineering on Cornell’s campus in Ithaca, New York. The ideal candidate will benefit from strong collaborative ties to the College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, and Weill Cornell Medicine, Hospital for Special Surgery and Cornell Tech campus in New York City. Our global presence includes a College of Medicine campus in Doha, Qatar. Further opportunities for fundamental and applied research and development are provided by an extensive network of centers and institutes including the Cornell Center on the Physics of Cancer Metabolism, Cornell Neurotechnology NeuroNex Hub, CU-HSS Program in Orthopaedic Engineering, Cornell Center for Materials Research, Cornell NanoScale Science & Technology Facility, Cornell Center for Immunology, Kavli Institute at Cornell for Nanoscale Science, and the Kevin M. McGovern Family Center for Venture Development in the Life Sciences.
