Aquatic Animal Health
The School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences (www.sfaas.auburn.edu) at Auburn University seeks an aquatic animal health specialist. The position is tenure-track and will be filled at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The successful candidate will develop an externally funded research program, contribute to the instructional program, and participate as a collaborator in the Southeastern Cooperative Fish Disease Project. A PhD in an appropriate discipline, two years of experience in disease diagnostics (fishes and/or invertebrates), and a strong publication record in aquatic animal health are required at the time employment begins. Experience or the background to teach a course in aquatic animal health, the potential to attract funding, postdoctoral experience, experience in vaccine development, and expertise that is complementary to current faculty members are also considerations.
