Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor

The Nash Family Department of Neuroscience, The Center for Glial Biology, and the Ronald M. Loeb Center for Alzheimer’s Disease at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai invite applications for tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Glial Biology. Exceptional candidates may also be considered for Associate and Full Professor. A preference will be given to applicants who wish to address the role of glial biology and metabolism in regulation of glia and neuron activity. We are particularly interested in applications that can use innovative imaging and genetic approaches for the identification of mechanisms that play a crucial role in brain region-specific neuronal-non-neuronal cell interactions during heath and disease.

Qualified candidates must hold a PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree with established expertise in and a strong record of research accomplishments. The successful candidates are expected to establish a dynamic and independently funded research program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Women and underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply.
