The Role:

Reporting to the Sr. Principal Engineer, Informatics, the Software Engineer, Informatics will work directly with scientists to develop scientific software web solutions, and integrate applications with instruments to drive automation and collect data.

Here's What You'll Do:
  • Develop, deliver, maintain and upgrade custom scientific software web solutions.
  • Work directly with scientists to understand requirements then design, develop, deploy and maintain full stack (front end and back end) JavaScript web applications as part of a team of scientists and manufacturing techs to address complex scientific challenges and design solutions.
  • Integrate applications with instruments to drive automation and collect data.
  • Develop automated algorithms and analytics as part of the applications.
  • Deliver solutions to users in rapid, agile cycle. Use JavaScript, Angular JS, HTML, CSS for front end, SQL, Java, NodeJS, Express, MongoDB for back end and Jasmine Tech stack for testing.

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Must have MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or related degrees plus
  • 1 year experience in the development of scientific web applications using JavaScript, required.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, 9-5,
