Immunology Discovery, Wilson Lab

Description

The department of Immunology Discovery has an opening for an enthusiastic, inquisitive and creative immunologist. The candidate will participate in the discovery and investigation of novel pathways and druggable targets in the therapeutic area of inflammatory diseases. Using state of the art techniques and technologies, she/he will be involved in the identification and investigation of new molecular pathways and to develop in-vitro and in-vivo systems to test the involvement of these new pathways and molecules in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases. The candidate will use cellular, molecular and biochemical techniques to investigate receptor/ligand interactions, signaling pathways including kinases, transcription factors, enzymes, and epigenetic regulators to assess their potential therapeutic utility.

The candidate is expected to independently and thoroughly research a new area, design, execute, and analyze experiments, and present the results to various forums within and beyond the department of discovery immunology. Being part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team, the person in this position will also frequently interact and communicate with other groups and champion the execution of projects to which many individuals contribute.


Who You Are

The candidate will:

  • Posses a Ph.D., ideally with 2+ years of experience in immunology. 
  • Have a documented record of professional achievement in the form of high quality publications.
  • Be theoretically and practically well versed in immunology and molecular immunology techniques such as primary cell isolation, in vitro stimulation of hematopoietic / immune cells, FACS, MACS, ELISA, qRT-PCR, WB.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be committed to teamwork-oriented discovery.
