The Division of Oncology, Department of Medicine, and the Stanford Cancer Institute, at Stanford University seek a physician/scientist. The faculty position is at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the University Tenure Line (UTL). We seek a physician/scientist capable of generating preclinical work that is translatable to the clinic or the more general population. The ideal candidate will direct a research laboratory and be capable of outreach with clinical colleagues to perform translational research. We expect the successful candidate to develop an academic Oncology research program with a laboratory, bioinformatics, or translational emphasis.

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be expected to build an academic research program, teach fellows, and participate in the oncology clinics of the Clinical Cancer Center. Candidates should have an MD or MD/PhD and be board certified or board eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology, or related specialties. The Division of Oncology benefits from an outstanding scientific and clinical environment at Stanford, including active collaborations with the basic science departments and the Stanford Institutes.
