The laboratory bridges basic and clinical research, focusing on developing novel treatment strategies for patients with lung and other cancers, asking clinically relevant questions and answering them using patient derived specimens and a wide array of innovative technologies.
Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute brings together world renowned clinicians, innovative researchers and dedicated professionals, allies in the common mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS and related diseases. Combining extremely talented people with the best technologies in a genuinely positive environment, we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all ages; we conduct research that advances treatment; we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers; we reach out to underserved members of our community; and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
The Research Fellow will work on specific projects which may include characterization of molecular mechanisms of drug resistance and persistence, identification and validation of novel oncogenic targets and targeted therapies, and devising research technologies and platforms to guide the development of novel combination treatments. The lab nurtures many collaborative efforts with other academic and non-academic institutions, with the goal of bringing new discoveries to the clinic quickly and/or to publish in high-tier journals to aid in the advancement of the field.
