FACULTY POSITIONS - MICROBIOLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY
The Department of Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Medicine invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates with strong research plans in the general fields of Immunology and Microbiology are encouraged to apply. Preferred candidates will have well-developed research plans that employ innovative approaches to study any of the following areas: 1) the molecular pathogenesis and immunity of emerging or re-emerging viruses, 2) innate immunity and the inflammatory process during infection with bacterial, viral, or other pathogens, and 3) the function and regulation of mucosal barriers in health and disease.
Other requirements include a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the biomedical sciences and an excellent record of research productivity. The successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain a strong extramurally funded research program and to participate in teaching and mentoring of graduate and medical students. Faculty appointees will receive outstanding start-up support and will work in a collaborative environment with state-of-the-art core facilities, including genomics, proteomics, imaging, Cryo-EM, and ABSL3/BSL3 facilities.
