Faculty Researcher (Anesthesiology)

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) (https://www.uab.edu/medicine/anesthesiology/) seeks to fill the position of Assistant, Associate or full Professor (tenure earning or tenured).    Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD degree and have demonstrated excellence in pain research.  Areas of research include, but are not limited to the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the development of pathologic pain, biological processes for pain and sensory signals, spinal cord and brain pain circuits, mouse genetics of pain research.  Applicants should have established research programs and current extramural support from NIH.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
