Postdoctoral position in Immunotherapy for Cancer

The postdoctoral research fellow will mainly work on projects related to the generation and characterization of CAR-T cells to treat oncologic diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and solid tumors. In addition, the successful applicant will also develop studies on novel targets and on strategies to improve the therapeutic efficacy of CAR-T cells. Also, the position involves a constant effort to translate the potential findings into clinical application. Thus, the ability to establish a productive dialogue with healthcare experts is of paramount importance for this position.


  1. Applicants must have a PhD degree in the field of biological sciences and a strong research background in immunology and/or cellular immunotherapy; 
  2. Previous experience in stem cell and/or leukemogenesis research, and knowledge of cell and molecular biology techniques are highly valued. The technical skills should include extensive experience in molecular biology (specially cloning, vector design and gene transfer), cell culture, flow cytometry, T cell functional assays and animal experimentation;
  3. Applicants must be highly motivated with a strong publication record exemplified by first author papers and willing to work in a multidisciplinary, highly collaborative and fast paced environment;
  4. Excellent level of spoken and writing English are essential;
  5. Experience with bioinformatic analysis, scientific communication and mentorship is highly desirable.
  6. Communication skills in Brazilian Portuguese are not required.
