The Department of Biology at California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for a tenure track position in Population Biology/Evolutionary Biology at the rank of Assistant Professor.

CSUSB is designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive faculty. The successful applicant will develop an independent research program addressing fundamental questions in population and/or evolutionary biology; candidates whose research applies bioinformatics to population dynamics are encouraged to apply. Furthermore, the incumbent will teach courses in evolution, population biology/population genetics, and additional courses within the selected candidate's area of expertise at the undergraduate lower and/or upper division levels and M.S. level. Candidates must have a record of published research and show potential for developing an externally funded research program involving both undergraduate and M.S. students. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in the biological sciences; postdoctoral experience is desirable. Review of applications will begin Oct. 31, 2019, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
