Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences
Position Description
The Department of Biological Sciences at Central Washington University (Ellensburg, WA) seeks a colleague specializing in Cell Biology or Molecular Genetics to join the faculty at the level of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced level curriculum in the areas of cell biology and/or molecular genetics, and develop a research program suitable for the involvement of undergraduate and Master’s students. Prospective candidates must have a PhD in cell biology, molecular genetics, or a related field; commitment to excellence in teaching cell biology/molecular genetics; and research expertise in cell biology and/or molecular genetics with potential for developing a research program suitable for involvement of undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to and/or have experience in working with under-represented populations and creating a learning environment that is welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all students.
