Position Summary:



The AD of Education and Training is the Chair of the Education Council Committee which oversees training across the enterprise. The responsibilities include: establishing and ensuring that educational curricula provide training in the common core competencies for the basic and clinical sciences, providing training and mentoring for faculty and students, driving strategic planning initiatives and work with Program Leadership to incorporate education and training into Research Programs, ensuring that trainees and other COHCCC affiliates are aware of education and training opportunities, and working with Senior Leadership to develop ways to promote educational opportunities for researchers at all levels of professional development

The Administrative Program Coordinator provides administrative and programmatic support for the Council. In addition the Administrative Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of training associated with the Clinical Investigator Training Program. This includes ensuring that the course is advertised and that applications are complete. This individual oversees that the course schedule and conduct and ensures that the lectures are recorded for use by other training programs within the institution. They provide administrative and programmatic support for the AD.



Key Responsibilities include:
  • Assists the AD in preparation and organization of the Education Council meetings.
  • Oversee the preparation, organization and operation of the CITP course and enduring materials associated.
  • S/He will perform a variety of duties including: program administration, organizational analysis, budget preparation, contract/grant administration, facilities support, systems and personnel support. They will assist in budget development by gathering, analyzing and reporting data; and monitor assigned budgets, report variances and provide projections and recommendations as requested.
  • S/He will assist the AD in all program business related activities, including but not limited to travel coordination, time and attendance and other institutional reporting requirements.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Research Experience a Plus.
  • 3 or more years of progressively responsible experience with grant preparation and multiple project administrative duties.
  • Practice a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
