The Department of Psychology and Brain Institute (I-BRAIN) at Florida Atlantic University invite applications from outstanding candidates at the Associate Professor level for a tenured position in human neuroscience. Exceptional candidates currently at the rank of Assistant Professor who have well-established and funded research programs may also be considered. Florida Atlantic University is a rapidly growing institution that is investing significant resources to expand neuroscience research and education. As part of this university-wide initiative, the Psychology Department (http://www.psy.fau.edu) has teamed with the Brain Institute (http://www.ibrain.fau.edu) to expand the presence of research programs focused on the human brain. We are especially interested in candidates whose research capitalizes on brain-monitoring and/or computational approaches that are suitable for assessing neural mechanisms underlying developmental features of sensory experience, cognition and social engagement. Candidates whose research programs have strong translational implications will be given primary consideration. The ideal candidate will bridge existing strengths in our core program areas and pursue collaborations with faculty within and outside of the department. Leadership opportunities within the Department and Institute regarding education and research opportunities will be considered.
