Duties
A NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately for a highly motivated candidate to study host-pathogen interactions and protein structure-function in Borrelia burgdorferi, the Lyme disease spirochete. The position offers an excellent training opportunity to conduct research in an attractive, dynamic research environment with outstanding resources.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or MD. Ph.D. in a related field from an accredited institution, and a strong background in mouse models of neurodegenerative diseases, synaptic physiology, or advanced microscopy applications. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.

Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. with a background in bacterial genetics and molecular biology. Experience in spirochetology, animal models, and/or tick biology is a plus.
