The Wistar Institute is seeking a talented and motivated scientist at the post-doctoral level to join the Vaccine & Immunotherapy Center at The Wistar Institute in the laboratory of Dr. David Weiner. The goal of this post-doctoral research appointment is a focus in the area of development of vaccines/immune approaches for infectious disease including HIV using novel synthetic DNA approaches. Both basic research as well as translational studies are envisioned under this post-doctoral appointment.
The preferred candidate is a recent PhD recipient or equivalent with a background in immunology, molecular biology and/or cancer biology. Experience in relevant areas might include molecular biology, virology, microscopy, flow cytometry, HIV, mouse tumor models or immunology. Competitive applicants will have strong critical thinking, organizational and communication skills. Recent first authored publications in peer-reviewed journals are required.
