A tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of immunology is available in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at the Ohio State University (OSU).  Applicants should have a PhD, MD, DVM or equivalent degree and postdoctoral training experience, interest in programmatic synergy with existing members of OSU faculty, and exhibit a superb record of research excellence. The candidate is expected to have or to develop an independent and nationally-recognized research program with extramural funding, be actively involved in collaborative research in the broader OSU community leading to programmatic initiatives, and have a strong commitment to graduate education. All areas of immunology are of interest. Preference will be given to individuals with research programs focused on mucosal adaptive immunity, vaccine strategies, adaptive immunity to biomedically-relevant pathogens, or anti-tumor immunity.

The Department is closely affiliated with the Infectious Disease Institute (https://idi.osu.edu/), whose mission is to generate solutions to the detrimental effect of microbes on the health of humans, animals, plants, and the environment. The Department also has strong affiliations with other OSU Institutes and Centers, including the NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and the newly formed Institute for Immuno-Oncology. The current position is part of a larger university-wide recruitment of adaptive immunity faculty in both the Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity and the Institute of Immuno-Oncology.
