Assistant Professor, Department of Plant Biology, Michigan State University
The Department of Plant Biology at Michigan State University invites applications for a tenure system Assistant Professor position from individuals studying fundamental problems in plant biology. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, Plant Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Development, Systems Biology, Synthetic Biology and Genetics. We seek candidates who show exceptional promise for addressing compelling research questions about plant functional mechanisms. MSU is world-renowned for fundamental and applied plant research and the Department of Plant Biology includes vibrant research programs in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, metabolism, plant-microbe interactions, genomics, systematics, evolutionary biology and ecology. In addition to developing an excellent, externally funded research program, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute high-quality teaching and service/outreach.
