A postdoctoral scholar position is available to work on a project for neuroprotection therapies that target the brain including but not limited to stroke, vascular dementia, and Alzheimer’s Disease. Neural stem cell therapy offers great promise for the treatment of brain disorders. We investigate the beneficial role of early administration of drugs or stem cells in repairing brain tissue.
Preferred candidates will be a Ph.D., M.D., or both with a relevant background either in neurodegenerative or neurovascular disease (stroke) research. Required techniques are confocal microscopy and western blotting. Candidates must be proficient in data analysis and writing manuscripts for publications.
