The Salk Institute is seeking faculty members at all levels who are interested in studying the molecular, genetic, and environmental interactions that are integrated to determine complex traits in health and disease.  We are seeking interdisciplinary and quantitative scientists who integrate diverse approaches (e.g. computer science, mathematics, computational biology, physics, machine learning, molecular modeling, synthetic biology or engineering) to address critical biological questions. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, human disease (e.g. cancer and neurodegeneration), adaptation and evolution, host-pathogen interactions, neurobiology, physiology, translational medicine and genomics. The candidate will join the highly interactive faculty in the Salk Center for Integrative Biology.
