Assistant Professor in Chemical Biology of the Genome

The Department of Chemistry, the Department of Pharmacology, and the Integrative Program for Biological and Genome Sciences (iBGS) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invite applications for a faculty position in Chemical Biology of the Genome at the tenure-track Assistant Professor level. The position is supported by the combined resources of the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Medicine. The target start date is July 1, 2020.

We seek applicants at the interface of Chemical Biology, Pharmacology, and Model Systems, broadly defined. Although candidates in all areas of these disciplines will be considered, research in metabolomics, proteomics, integrated genomics and other established strengths of the Departments of Chemistry and Pharmacology are of particular interest. The ideal candidate will develop a robust research program at the interfaces between these disciplines. This colleague will be appointed in the Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of Pharmacology and iBGS in the School of Medicine. Applicants should have a strong record of excellence and productivity in research, and a desire to teach undergraduate and graduate students.
