The Biology Department at the University of Dallas seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting August 2020. The area of specialization is open, but a background in health sciences, anatomy, or physiology with a Ph.D. and/or medical degree is required. Postdoctoral experience is preferred, as well as a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching, research, and mentorship. The successful applicant will regularly teach upper-division courses in anatomy, physiology, and other health-related topics, and develop new upper-level courses on topics that align with the candidate’s interests. The candidate will be expected to develop a research program that engages undergraduate students in a manner to help them prepare for careers or graduate school in the health sciences or related fields. The candidate will also help advise biology majors, including students interested in health professions and continuing on to medical or graduate school.
