Faculty Recruitment in the Department of Physiology

The Department of Physiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks highly qualified candidates for a faculty position in the tenure track at the Assistant Professor rank. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Teaching responsibilities include graduate and medical student instruction and training graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Research responsibilities include developing a successful extramurally-supported research program. We seek investigators with evidence of scholarship and publications plus demonstrated excellence in research with programs grounded in fundamental mechanistic investigation that leverage molecular, biophysical, structural or cell-biological insights to inform physiological functions, particularly in novel, undeveloped, or interdisciplinary areas. Researchers who develop and use advanced biophysical, chemical-biological, cell-biological, computational or physiological techniques are encouraged to apply.
