ASSOCIATE RESEARCH SCIENTIST
COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER
The Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons seeks an Associate Research Scientist to investigate the signaling mechanisms of acute kidney injury.
Prospective applicants must be a recipient of a PhD (or equivalent) and should have experience in cell culture, immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR and immunoblotting techniques. Proficiency in mouse survival surgery and anesthesia is preferred. Experiments involve genetically modified mice and cell culture models using pharmacologic pathway inhibitors of signal transduction.
Ability to work with minimal guidance is expected and essential. Applicants must be able to develop and learn new techniques as required for these studies.
