The Department of Microbiology and Plant Biology at the University of Oklahoma Norman campus (http://www.ou.edu/cas/mpbio) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level with expertise in microbiology. We seek an exceptional individual who will establish a nationally recognized, externally-funded research program broadly aimed at investigating mechanisms by which microbial communities influence and interact with host health, specifically in the domains of metabolic, immune, and gut development in early life.  We are especially interested in individuals whose work complements and strengthens the research interests of our current faculty, including those focused on microbiomes, microbial physiology, ecology, or metabolomics.
