Department of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology

Immediate opening for a junior tenure-track or senior tenured position in the Department of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology (MCCB) at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. This department is chaired by Dr. Michael R. Green, and includes 30 primary faculty. The research interests of MCCB faculty are broad, ranging from basic mechanisms in gene regulation, cell and developmental biology to the molecular basis of cancer and other diseases. In addition to the University-wide scientific core facilities, the department has a dedicated in-house bioinformatics core to support the needs of MCCB faculty. This is an open search with regard to field of study and specific research focus, but areas of emphasis include development, genetics, stem cell biology and cancer. Applications from established investigators are encouraged. Rank will be commensurate with ability and experience. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and the ideal candidate will have a strong record of accomplishments along with a successful track record of research productivity.
