Assistant Professor in Biochemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University San Bernardino invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Fall 2020 in the area of biochemistry.

Candidates are expected to provide stimulating, innovative, and equity-based teaching focused on student success in general and introductory chemistry in addition to the lower and upper division courses in biochemistry, and to develop and sustain an externally funded, independent research agenda. Research in all areas of biochemistry is appropriate; expertise in bioinformatics, chemical biology, and biomolecular modeling would complement existing research capabilities, and could lead to research collaboration and/or course development. Materials to be submitted include a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophies, a statement of research accomplishments and goals, a statement of strategic plan, transcripts, and three letters of recommendation.  References should email confidential letters of recommendation to facultyrecruitment@csusb.edu.
