Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of immunologic and cell biological analysis of innate immune signaling and antigen presentation by dendritic cells. The applicant must have a proven record of outstanding laboratory research involving the cell biology of dendritic cells and significant post-doctoral experience. The investigator will be expected to establish a track record in obtaining significant research funding. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree. 

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include contributing to ongoing studies, as well as developing independent research. Areas of particular interest include the roles of lysosomal dysfunction and autophagy in regulating innate immune responses to bacterial pathogens in dendritic cells, and heritable diseases that impact innate responses to bacterial infection.
