Drug Discovery Research, Astellas Pharma Inc., is recruiting Research Scientist in the areas of Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetic Engineering, Cell Engineering, Synthetic Chemistry, Veterinary Medicine, Data Science etc.

Drug Discovery Innovator Selection Camp (DISC) is a program designed to select researchers who would be a valuable asset to Astellas Pharma’s drug discovery endeavours.
DISC Winners will have the opportunity to join Astellas Pharma as a research worker (full-time employee).

8:30 to 17:30 (Mondays to Thursdays); 8:30 to 15:45 (Fridays). Flextime/ discretionary working system in operation.

About 14^th DISC

[Pre-Camp Screening]
・Applicants will be screened by documents submitted and aptitude test. Those who clear this stage will be invited to attend the Selection Camp.
・All applicants will be notified whether or not they have been invited to attend the Selection Camp.
・Astellas will fund the cost(*) of participating in the Selection Camp.
(*)Including travel expenses and accommodation (including airfares for overseas applicants
・After the Selection Camp, we will discuss details such as start date and conditions of work with the DISC Winner.
・The specific research assignment and location will be decided according to the finalist’s specialism and aptitude.

[Screening schedule]
・Applications Open: September 5 to October 6, 2019
・Selected Applicants Notified: late October 2019
・About a few days Selection Camp will be held in mid-November at Astellas Pharma Tsukuba Research Center in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan
