PHYSIOLOGY UCLA Assistant or Associate Professor


The Department of Physiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Candidates studying fundamental mechanisms in all areas of modern physiology, including molecular, cellular, organ or systems physiology are welcome to apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent and are expected to have a strong track record of research achievements and a demonstrated interest in tackling outstanding biological problems using state-of-the-art approaches. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program and participate in the teaching mission of the Department for medical, dental, and graduate students. We welcome candidates whose experience in teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence. The Department of Physiology at UCLA has a strong tradition of excellence in biophysics, membrane transport, neuroscience, cardiovascular research, and structural biology and has made many major discoveries in these areas.
