Description

We have an opportunity for a Senior Scientist to lead our research efforts in the biology, physiology and pathology of airway diseases, with a particular emphasis on the development of regenerative therapies. The Senior Scientist is to establish and lead a research group focused on airway biology and diseases, stem cell biology and regeneration, and/or the development of regenerative therapies for the treatment of airway diseases. The successful candidate will continue to lead the field in the discovery and interrogation of pathways and processes that regulate airway regeneration, and will lead research programs that aim at developing first-in-class and best-in-class therapies, including stem cell therapies and the use of reprogramming to restore tissue function. Leveraging our in vivo, in vitro and ex vivo model systems, she or he will have the opportunity to discover and characterize novel biology with the goal of developing innovative therapies.


Who You Are

  • We are looking for leaders in the field who have demonstrated their excellence by successfully establishing and leading independent research groups in academia or industry. 
  • Qualified candidates must hold a doctoral degree in a medical or biological discipline and have at least 5 years of post doctoral experience. 
  • Qualified candidates must have a track record of success as an independent researcher as illustrated by a strong publication record, authorship on patents, grant support, mentorship, and other tangible success metrics.
