POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS IN THERAPEUTIC INNOVATION
At the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, the Center for Therapeutic Innovation has linked basic biomedical scientists with drug discovery experts resulting in a range of translational efforts.
The ideal applicant will have a unique skill set and a deep molecular understanding of human disease related biological systems. Priority areas are neuroscience (esp. Alzheimer's disease and addiction), cancer and rare genetic disorders.
Applicants should have a doctorate and a strong background in contemporary biology and/or medicine. Molecular biology, genomics, pharmacology, disease physiology, drug screening, target identification, and animal disease modeling are among the desired skill sets. Experience from the pharma/biotech is also an asset, as is the ability to work independently and to lead teams of researchers. The applicant should have strong writing skills and be ready to contribute to both publications and the grant seeking process.
