Research Assistant Professor, Pathobiology Department

The Department of Pathobiology within the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the Research Track (non-tenure Research Assistant Professor). Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., VMD or equivalent degree and have an established record of publishing peer-reviewed research manuscripts, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have the ability to perform independent research. Preference will be for applicants who have expertise in studying immune responses in parasitic diseases in both experimental models and humans, as evidenced from their publication record. This individual will participate in collaborative projects on cutaneous leishmaniasis with investigators at Penn and in Brazil, as well as develop an independent research project in the area of immunity to parasitic protozoa by obtaining extramural research funding.
