Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - Computer Science

The School of Natural and Computational Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Computer Science & Information Technology starting in early 2020, to teach undergraduates, supervise postgraduates and conduct research in the areas of computer science and/or information technology.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a fast-growing, fascinating area to study and research, and the School offers study programmes that are unique, covering the spectrum of computing - from hardware to software and mobile apps through to managing information technology. Massey University also has world-leading staff, teaching and researching at the forefront of the information sciences, and we prepare our students to take their place as leaders in this rapidly-growing industry.
The position is based in Massey University’s Auckland campus at Albany; dubbed the ‘innovation campus’ because of its focus on transforming smart ideas into valued products, tools and services with social, environmental and economic benefits. The academic staff and students on this campus are well connected through research activity, partnerships, internships and events to schools, as well as learning institutes and key organisations around the globe.
To be successful in appointment to this role, you will have:
- a PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
- a research record of accomplishment in one or more of the following is highly desirable - cyber security, AI, data science, and machine learning.
