The Department of Chemistry at Indiana University (https://www.chem.indiana.edu/) invites applications for a position beginning August 2020 at the rank the Assistant Professor.  We welcome applicants from any area of chemistry with research goals that can align with Indiana University’s emerging Center for Chemical Biology and Biotherapeutics pillar of the Precision Health Initiative (PHI; https://grandchallenges.iu.edu/precision-health/index.html).  The PHI is a large collaboration that includes faculty from Chemistry, Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, the School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering, and the Indiana University School of Medicine.  The successful applicant will have the opportunity be a trainer in our NIH-funded Chemistry-Biology Interface (CBI) training program in Quantitative and Chemical Biology (http://www.chem.indiana.edu/qcb/).

A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field and postdoctoral experience are required. Successful candidates will be expected to develop a visible, externally funded research program. Primary teaching responsibilities will be consistent with the expertise of the candidate and will include both graduate and undergraduate courses.
